Madeleines is a popular bakery, cafe and deli in Oxford Village. It has a barista, but he had other chores, so interaction was not possible with him when I was there. While their espresso and cappuccino were not their strong points, they had other attractions – plenty of parking because of its location in a shopping complex, a dog-friendly section at the front, delicious baked goods and food. There is no Wi-Fi or computer ports, however.
As I said, they offer a good selection of breakfast and lunch options including vegetarian options. Their food is of a consistently high standard, not forgetting the freshly baked treats on display, which look delicious enough to break that diet.
Everything is clean and tidy and the decor is cheerful. The seating is two tables inside and an open area at the back overlooking a large pond with lots of greenery. Very pleasant. There is also the dog-friendly open area in the front overlooking the car park. Perhaps first a bakery and then a coffee venue?
