Stonehouse is an all in one destination. Firstly, there is a coffee shop with an open terrace offering spectacular views of the Valley of a Thousand Hills- perhaps the best views in Botha’s Hill. The restaurant also has a kiddies play area adjacent so you can watch your kids from where you are sitting and sipping your coffee. Secondly, there is a gift shop selling decor items and, finally, a plant nursery.

With its indoor and outdoor seating and a safe children’s play area, this is a place for everyone.

The staffers were very attentive all round and my waiter served a great cup of coffee with the biggest of smiles. The barista was out of sight, so no possible interaction, but he/she sure knows how to make a good cup of coffee. They use Lineage coffee beans which is a good start.

The menu offers a good selection of breakfasts, lunches, including pizzas. Also on offer is a  good range of sweet treats, which include freshly baked cakes, scones and pastries. These are perfect companions to your coffee if meeting friends or just on a family get together or are alone having a little time out.

The parking can get a bit tricky because the nursery attracts a good clientele, but car guards do make a plan.
