The barista was pleasant and friendly. I chatted to her about whether they used the correct-sized coffee cup for a regular cappuccino, offering the opinion that standard cups are too large, causing the cappuccino to be too milky (extra milk is added to fill the cup) and lacking  a true coffee taste. She took it well.

Seating includes a couch, while inside tables have a view of the sea. Also verandas in the front and on the side, which also have views. It can get very busy on weekends, but you are welcome to just have coffee and a snack if you like, rather than a full on meal.

There is Wi-Fi.

A wide range of meals are available which are suitable for an independent day-time cafe. The coffee is good and the menu ranges from breakfast to lunch and options include salads, pastas, wraps and sweet treats like desserts and cakes.

Thanks to the venue and outlook this offers one of the best cafe experiences in Umdloti with above average service, a great menu –  and good cocktails and coffee.
