I love a traditional coffee shop where you can grab your coffee and some baked goods or have a brekkie. This has all of that and far more.
Let’s start with the coffee which was made perfectly to my specs – dunno if the barista had been spying on me? The cappuccino was the perfect temperature, strength and had that earthy taste I love. Dare I say that this was up there with my favourites?
The Glenwood Bakery is the home of culinary guru Adam Robinson (so very little needs to be said about the menu) and his legendary bread. An added bonus is his deli products which are healthy, free of preservatives and filled with flavour.
The Glenwood venue (bakery and adjoining café) spills out onto the pavement and has an unassuming decor – letting the food and coffee speak for itself.
This time round, I didn’t have a chance to have a meal but gathered up an assortment of goodies to enjoy with my coffee. The reason for that is that it was very busy and I found I had to put up with a bit of a wait. That also meant it was hard to have a chat with the barista or any staff as they were running around frantically – but, maybe that’s a good sign. If you are willing to put up with a little chaos, I would still say this is worth the wait.
Wi-Fi is available.
