Zara’s Cafe is a popular coffee shop nestling in the heart of the Ballito Lifestyle Centre. It looks onto a walkway that wends its way in and around the other restaurants in the area.
The menu offers a mix of Greek and South African cuisine – wraps, flatbreads, etc – which includes breakfast, lunch and supper options as well as afternoon treats. Do yourself a favour and check out the space adjacent called Dear Custard – also owned by Zara’s – which serves the most delectable range of traditional and flavoured custard slices, which are literally to die for.
So, this is food for pretty much every time of the day. Kiddies are also catered for.
There is Wi-Fi available, although you will require a password. There is ample and easily accessible parking in the mall’s parking areas. You will be comfortable working on your laptop here.
Zara’s Cafe is located perfectly with both inside and outdoor seating. It is the coffee shop you should choose if you are planning to meet up with family or friends. The set up is simple yet pretty and very neat. The staff were friendly, helpful and offered good service. Another plus is the coffee. Not a winner per se if you’re talking of the Battle of the Beans competition, but very competent. A bit on the strong side for some, perhaps, as it has a Greek element, but very enjoyable.
