The Grand Exotic is well named. The owners – Indophiles – describe it as a sensory delight which aims to transport you to a nostalgic era of glory days gone by. From the dome to the hand painted glass, art adorning the walls and the sari-clad waitresses, it has been described as the Jewel of the KZN North Coast.
The vintage shop is packed with treasures collected from all over the world. So that, along with good coffee, the varied menu and lush gardens, offers an all-round experience for all the senses. A very peaceful place to meet friends. But be aware, children under 14 are not allowed.
They serve specialty coffee as well as tea from silver tea pots and vintage porcelain cups while also offering a fresh and simple menu, which includes cafe style savoury light meals and sweet treats.

They serve Coffee Merchant beans, In Africa blend. The barista was friendly. There is free Wi-Fi, loads of parking and attentive staff. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Also day spa facilities are available. What’s not to like here?
