The owner is the barista and he was friendly. Due to the equipment used, the cappuccino foam was too thin and closer to milk than micro-textured milk that changes into foam with milk below. The flavour, however, was pleasant and balanced,
This is a small coffee shop with benches and couch/chair seating with light jazz playing in the background. It’s all very homely. A true coffee shop.
Food available includes sarnies and various snacky things like buffalo wings – all enough to keep a business person working off site happy.
The Retro Bean Cafe is a little isolated in that it’s located at the bottom of Heleza Boulevard, which runs north and parallel to the M4 into the Sibaya precinct from the Sibaya circle. It’s across the road from the new Checkers at the entrance to the Sibaya precinct.
The cafe is neat and clean. It’s the classic old school coffee shop. It’s very pleasant and has the required magazines on a shelf and Wi-Fi for those more interested in reading or working online. Ample parking, too.
Overall, very pleasant
